To obtain the selection tool, use the /zure selection tool command. This will give you a special diamond spade, which cannot be used for afflicting damage to entities to dig up blocks, only to make your selection. Can be dropped to the ground for other players, but if not picked up, quickly disappears. Cannot be stored in inventories other than the player's inventory.
The default selection mode is CUBOID - allowing the selection of a 3D rectangular shape.
Use the /zure selection mode <selection_mode> command
Example: /zure selection mode ellipsoid
The following modes are available:
CUBE: selects the smallest cube, which contains all the clicked blocksCUBOID: makes a cuboid, which contains all clicked blockPYRAMID: selects a base rectangle and forms a pyramid elevating its middleSPHERE: left-click select the center of the sphere, right-click sets the radiusELLIPSOID: same as CUBOID, but selects the ellipsoid, which can be drawn into itConvert Selection
The followings can be converted to one-another:
CUBOID and ELLIPSOIDare always convertible to one-anotherCUBE and SPHERE are always convertible to one-anotherMeaning, that if you select another, but convertible selection mode, your selection will change to the new shape. If the new selection mode is incompatible, your selection will remain the same and you must start a new selection with left-clicking a block.
Once you hold the selection tool in your hand and have the desired selection mode, you can start forming your selection. The Left-click typically resets the selection to the block you clicked, while Right-click adds the clicked block to your existing selection or modifies a radius.
There are commands, which manage the selection - they are under /zure selection ... command - so just by looking at the auto-complete suggestions of the /zure selection command, one can see the possible actions with the selection.
